Our passion for fine Rieslings of, in particular, the Mosel, Saar and Ruwer valleys remains undiminished. The combination of luscious ripe fruit tempered by zingy acidity and tooth-tingling minerality are a unique delight in the world of fine wine. O.W. Loeb was first established in Trier in 1874 and we count the Prüms and the von Schuberts amongst our longest standing continuous suppliers -Prüm since they were established in 1911 and von Schubert over a century. We are proud that our long association with this corner of Germany has permitted us to be voted the UK German Wine Merchant of the Year three times.

Wine auction held every September in Trier in which the creme de la creme of Mosel wines are auctioned after being approved by a tasting panel.
“When I joined the wine trade in the 1960’s, O W Loeb, then specialising in Germany, Burgundy and the Rhone, was recognised as ‘the wine merchant’s wine merchant’. The same core specialities are still there in force and a lot more as well and Loeb is still the place to buy your wine.”
